Cover-Up Industries - Spa Features
Islander Spa Features
Below are some of the features you
should look for when shopping for your new spa. Higher
pricing does not mean higher quality. Islander Spas
are high quality spas designed by people who have
been in the in the industry for over 20 years. The
top people at Islander Spas worked for some of the
largest spa manufacturers in the country, and bring
with them the expertise and skill to produce a high
quality spa at a very reasonable price.
Centrex
The beauty of Centrex is that smooth
feeling along with an almost indestructible quality.
That's why some of the most expensive spas in the
world are made of this material. Also notice the jets
located in the upper neck area pointing down, great
for the shoulders. The terracing in the seating area
allows for a lot more jetting variations than the
cup type on the seat to the right. When shopping for
spas take special notice of the jet quality, do they
turn smoothly when you move them by hand, are the
control rings easy to move, are they easy to replace?
Upgrades
A number of upgrades are available
from Islander Spas. Starting at the top and moving
clockwise, the Acura digital control pack, the Corona
discharge ozonator (puts out 4x more ozone than fluorescent),
the fully programmable Acura digital control pad,
and the Aquassage for the neck. Some of these features
are not available on other brands, but you and your
customers will love out low prices on these features.
Pumps
All spa motors are not built the same.
Most manufacturers use Class "C" pump motors that
have far less insulation than Class "F" pump motors.
That means the Class "F" will withstand far greater
temperature extremes without thermal overload. They
also use a solid state starting capacitor, which starts
the pump in stages rather than all at once, that will
increase the pump life up to 4 times that of other
types. These motors are also continous rated rather
than peak rated, that means if a pump is rated at
4hp it will continously put out 4hp, pumps that are
rated in peak only produce the peak power when they
are first started, then the hp will drop in that same
4hp pump to about 2 hp continous. That means you will
have less flow and will reduce the pressure to the
jets where you need it most.

Quality
Every feature incorporated in the deluxe
"ES Series" Islander Spa has been well thought out
for your comfort, ease of use, and reliability. Notice
the safety rails which are great for those with limited
mobility. Again, notice the contouring in the seats.
The lounge is angled to keep you from floating away
and the seats will fit as comfortably as your favorite
pair of sneakers. Air buttons, known for their extreme
reliability and low cost to replace, are standard.
We do have the "Acura" fully programmable digital
topsides available. The filtering system has the best
skimming action of any on the market with the most
accessible filter cartridge.
